Qualifications
1)User Requirement Sheet - Customer of the equipment has a certain expectations about the equipment which he wants to use.Some of the general requirements may be stated in the form of certain parameters like.
-Size of equipment
-Speed of equipment
-Effectiveness of equipment
-Availability of spares
-Ease of operation,maintenance,cleaning
-Low dust and sound generation
-Lesser breakdowns
-Easy Changeovers
2) Design Qualifications:- If the equipment is to be fabricated as per user requirements
then it is very essential to design detailed Qualification document.It is advisable to work out the detailed equipment specifications by sitting together with the manufacturer.Once this is ready it is agreeable to purchaser and manufacturer.
DQ is a should provide documented evidence that the design specifications were meet.
3) Installation Qualifications:-IQ should provide the documented evidence that the installation complete and satisfactory.The purchase specifications,drawings ,manuals,
Spare part lists and vender details should be verified during IQ.Control and measuring devices should be calibrated.
4) Operational Qualifications:- It may be defined as,"Documented evidence that the system or subsystem performs as intended throughout all specified operating range."The equipment operated only when it passes the OQ test.
OQ should provide the documented evidence that the utilities,system,or equipment and all its components operate according to its operational specifications.
5) Performance Qualifications:- PQ should provide the documented evidence that the utilities, system and a equipment and all its components consistently perform as per specifications under routine use.
PQ considered by many as synonymous with OQ. OQ is a verification of performance of a system or subsystem and equipment without load,PQ is the same with Load.
