Cleanroom (Airlocks) Air Pressure Balancing Introduction: - HVAC air pressure balancing is an important part of cleanroom HVAC. Balancing the air pressure in a cleanroom ensures that the product manufacturing in one area of the cleanroom does not contaminate products in another area. Pressure balancing prevents cross-contamination of products processed in the cleanroom. Airflow patterns or direction in a cleanroom are entirely dependent on the cleanroom air pressure balancing. Air pressure balancing (Airlocks) in cleanroom maintained in three types. Cascade Airlock Sink Airlock Bubble Airlock Cascade Airlock  Flow: - In the cascade airlock Air flows from higher pressure zone to lower pressure zone in one direction.
